Outdoor projects can feel like a lot. There are decisions to make, money to spend, and probably a few things you didn't even know you needed to think about. We'll help you sort through the options, explain what matters, and make the process a whole lot less complicated.
You bring what you know about your home and how you want to use it. We'll bring the rest.
Consultation
We Walk It and We Talk It.
Bring us your wishlist, your Pinterest board, or the half-baked idea you've been sitting on for three years. We'll walk your property together, talk about what you're trying to accomplish, and point out the things we notice along the way.
We'll tell you what we'd keep, what we'd change, where we'd spend the money, and where we wouldn't. And we'll explain why, so you leave with a clearer idea of what works for your yard and a plan that makes sense for your budget.
Project Proposal
The Receipts Are All Right Here.
No hidden fees. No surprises. Every proposal is itemized line by line so you know exactly what's included in your project. Estimates should answer questions, not create them.
The only time your total changes is if you decide to add or remove something. Once you approve your proposal, we'll build exactly what you've agreed to. If anything changes, you'll approve it before the work does.
Design
We Love it When a Plan Comes Together.
This is where it starts getting real. We take everything we've learned about your property, your family, and the way you want to use the space, then build your design around it. You'll see layouts, 3D renderings, material selections, and planting plans so you can picture how everything comes together.
We'll talk through the options, make changes where they make sense, and keep refining the plan until you're excited to build it.
Installation
Time to Get Our Hands Dirty.
Now it's time to bring everything to life. Your project manager coordinates the crews, materials, scheduling, and all the moving pieces that come with construction. They'll keep you informed along the way, so you'll always know what's happening and what comes next.
We know construction can be noisy, dusty, and disruptive. Our crews take pride in keeping the job site organized, treating your property with respect, and cleaning up along the way. It's one of the things our clients mention most often.
Well Check
We're Not Great at Goodbyes.
Every VHS landscape installation includes our Well Checks. Within the first few weeks after your project is complete, we'll come back to walk the property, test the irrigation, check on your plants and materials, and make small adjustments when needed. If something needs more attention, we'll let you know the best next step.
It's our chance to see how everything is settling in and your chance to ask the questions that come up once you've had a little time with your new yard.
Why We Charge for Consultations
We know free estimates are common in this industry. VHS is not a huge company, and that's intentional. It allows us to stay involved, know our projects, and give our clients the kind of service we're proud to put our name on.
When we're at your house, we're not there for a quick sales pitch. We're there to listen, walk the property, share what we see, and help you understand your options before you make a much bigger investment.
Whether you choose to work with us or not, you'll leave knowing more about your property, what's realistic for your budget, and what it will take to create a yard that works for the way you live.
