With its classic brick details, durable materials, and intentional design, this Alamo Heights landscape blends classic charm with modern function. The homeowners wanted a low-maintenance space that felt classic yet practical, with room for their grandchildren to play.

We began by designing a clean, structured landscape using native and Texas-adapted plants arranged along the fence line for a polished, uncluttered look. To improve accessibility and safety, we widened the existing concrete driveway and installed an 18-foot double gate that integrates with the property’s fencing. These upgrades increased parking space and also added security for the family’s vehicles and outdoor areas.

The standout feature is the D’Hanis brick patio and walkway that ties the entire design together. It is a nod to the home’s historic character and enduring craftsmanship. A custom red cedar pergola and soft artificial turf play area complete the backyard, creating a comfortable, welcoming retreat made for connection, relaxation, and lasting memories.
